🚀 Today's exploration journey: MQTT 📡While HTTP versions and WebSocket are the go-to for many developers, there's a whole world beyond them! Today, I delved into MQTT. 🌐𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧?🔗 MQTT offers a lightweight, real-time communication solution, making it perfect for IoT and telemetry applications. It's fascinating to see how it addresses the unique challenges of the IoT landscape.𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐬𝐞:- 𝐇𝐓𝐓𝐏/𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭: Great for traditional web applications and real-time features.- 𝐌𝐐𝐓𝐓: Ideal for IoT, scenarios with numerous devices, and low-latency requirements.𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐌𝐐𝐓𝐓 𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐨𝐓:1. 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲: MQTT's lightweight protocol minimizes the bandwidth and processing power required, making it highly efficient for resource-constrained IoT devices.2. 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐏𝐔 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐨𝐓 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬:- 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: MQTT's protocol is designed with a minimal header size, conserving memory on IoT devices with limited storage capacity.- 𝐂𝐏𝐔 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫: MQTT's simplicity in message exchange reduces the computational burden on IoT devices, ensuring optimal performance even with low-powered CPUs.3. 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲: Unlike HTTP, which involves request-response interactions, MQTT operates on a publish-subscribe model. This reduces the overhead associated with establishing multiple connections for frequent updates, leading to lower latency.4. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: MQTT supports persistent connections, allowing devices to stay connected and receive updates instantly without the need for repeated handshakes. This continuous connection is crucial for real-time monitoring in IoT scenarios.𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫:- How does MQTT work in IoT: https://lnkd.in/dAJUWk29- Limitations of MQTT: https://lnkd.in/d7wYQNqXWhat's your experience with MQTT? How connected are you? 5 Devices?10 Devices? Take the challenge below to find out!‘Live Better Connected’ is the latest campaign from Mobile UK, the industry body for the UK’s Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), designed to educate people and improve awareness about how society relies upon mobile connectivity."The Internet of Things (IoT) is driving forward a new era of connected devices, transforming the ways in which businesses and entire industries operate. In the UK alone, there are over 85 million active mobile connections. Globally, there are already 14 billion connected ‘things’, with that figure expected to rise to 30 billion by 2025.”In order to maintain connectivity for communities and businesses across the UK, the appropriate network architecture needs to be in place. MNOs depend on in-building infrastructure so they can offer customers great connections to be able to live their lives - enhanced by digital technologies like 5G. At WIG we understand the challenges and partner with MNOs to deliver scalable solutions that meet the global challenges of our real estate customers.https://lnkd.in/ern6XvU4#LiveBetterConnected #mobileconnectivity

Wearable tech is going to be one of the year’s biggest trends in fitness and health this year. I see wearables mentioned often in the same breath as fitness when it comes to step counting, closing rings, and reaching activity goals. But we’ve moved far past that in terms of what wearable tech can do for those trying to improve fitness and health. More and more research supports the importance of rest and recovery as equally important to progression and outcomes than training or movement itself. Our bodies are not machines, they are complex and unique to each of us. There isn’t a formula that works for all and it’s up to each of us to find the right mixture of inputs and outputs that find balance. That’s where wearable tech can play a more meaningful role: using a credible, continuous measurement method, you can perform N=1 experiments that show how small behavior tweaks can change outcomes overtime. The importance of sleep, recovery, and personalized data can’t be overstated, and technology has a critical role to play in how we understand and optimize it. If you’re not resting optimally, you can’t achieve the best outcomes in any area of life. #WithOura

    IIoT- Industry 4.0 | Predictive & Prescriptive Maintenance| Condition monitoring | Smart manufacturing | Smart Water | Smart Building | Smart everything#digitaltransformation#AI_ML

💠Predictive maintenance finds and fixes problems in manufacturing equipment before they cause the equipment to fail. It requires capturing and analyzing historical data not only of breakdowns but also of the conditions (such as excessive heat or vibration) that preceded them. Predictive maintenance requires managing, integrating, and assuring the quality of large quantities of data from multiple sources. 💠 Business Benefits- Predictive maintenance reduces costs by allowing repairs to be made before the failure of a component damages other components. It increases manufacturing efficiency by reducing unplanned downtime, and customer satisfaction by preventing missed deliveries. It also reduces costs by reducing the need for rush shipments of raw materials or finished goods to make up for unexpected interruptions in production. #fmcg #fastmovingconsumergoods #predictiveanalytics #maintenance#analytics #conditionmonitoring #realtimeanalytics #assettracking #assethealth #industry40 #digitalisation https://lnkd.in/dJYWe26s
