NEWS 18 FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 2020 THE MORNING CALL Harold M. Davis Harold Michael Davis, 94, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020. He was the widower of Elizabeth L. Davis. Born on July 28, 1926 in Bethlehem, Harold was a son of the late Herbert and Katie (Giesau) Davis.

Harold worked for General Electric and Black Decker for many years before retiring. He en- joyed going to the casino, off track horse betting and was a lover of all animals especially dogs. Survivors: Harold will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Hope Wilson of Allentown; niece Ann Zimmerman with who he lived with; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Harold was predeceased by siblings, Ethel Zimmerman, Herbert G. Davis, Harrison Davis, Robert E.

Davis, Richard D. Davis and Jay R. Davis. Services: Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Funeral Home, Fountain Hill.

She was the wife of the late Gerald F. Butterweck. Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Blanche (Bobb) Schultz. Janet worked as a secretary for Air Products for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church.

Janet is survived by sons, Steven G. Butterweck and wife Suzanne of Allentown and Rick S. Butterweck and wife Donnita of Fogelsville; daughter, Jill S. Butterweck of Lansdale; brother, Forrest Schultz of Georgia; sister, Sharon wife of Clare Reihman of Green Lane; grandchildren, Jason, Jeffrey, and Julian. Hospital, Fountain Hill, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Goldsboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late LB and Dora (Gainey) Edwards. Pat was a graduate of West Hampton College in Richmond, VA, earning her degree. She went on to teach in Fork Union, VA. When she moved to Bethlehem, she was employed as a substitute teacher for BASD.

Later, she became the manager of Hallmark in Bethlehem for 25 years. Pat was an avid volunteer offering her services to many community organizations including, Junior Women's Club, St. volunteers and serving as chairperson of the raf- fle for The Boutique at the Rink, where she helped raise over $100,000. Pat enjoyed playing bridge, pinochle and participating in the antics of YOLO. She especially loved spending time on the Outer Banks, NC.

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Karen Hein and husband Donald; son, Kevin Buffman, all of Bethlehem. Pat was preceded in death by her former husband, Bob Buffman, and brothers, Ray and Charles Edwards. Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service.

Moretz Sr. Charles L. Moretz Sr, 66 of Bethlehem, passed away on August 17, 2020 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lisa Baker-Moretz. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jane(Lynch) Moretz.

Along with his Wife, he is survived by his children: Katie Marie Kupstas, and her husband Tod, of Wynnewood; Charles L. Moretz, and his wife Christina, of Allentown; Joshua Robert Moretz, husband of Kaitlyn, of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Jacob, Evan, Zachary, Benjamin, Tess, Madlyn, Hope and Parker; and beloved nieces: Meghan and Lillian. He is also survived by a sister Susan Meier of Bethlehem. Charlie is best known as the proprietor of Saucon Valley Acres Catering, Inc. He and his wife Lisa have been providing wedding receptions and banquet services to the com- munity for over 25 years.

Charlie was very interested in youth sports, coaching and umpiring for Hellertown- Lower Saucon Little League for a decade. Proud of his Slovenian heritage he served as Vice President and as a Trustee of the Bethlehem Murska Soboda Sister City Association. An avid golfer, he was a member of the former Silver Creek Country Club. A Christian Celebration of Life Service will be held in his memory on Oct 10th, 2020 at St. Johns Windish Evangelical Church, Bethlehem.

Kushner John J. Kushner, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away August 19, 2020. He was the loving husband of 45 years to Louisa E. (Reed) Kushner. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Hoffman) Kushner.

John was a 1953 graduate of Liberty High School. John served in the U.S. Army. He had worked for the former Lehigh Engineering in Bethlehem and then as a mechanical contractor in California for 19 years. John attended Ss Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

Survivors: wife- Louisa; daughter- Susan M. wife of Ret. Lt Col John Bokor of Las Cruces, NM; step-daughter- Theresa DiGiovanni of Newport, RI; granddaughter- Jessica Bokor-Sapyta of KY; step-grandchildren- Mary Kate Gough of Brooklyn, NY and Garrett S. Guth, 90, formerly of Bushkill Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at her residence in Upper Milford Township. She was the wife of the late Gerald A.

Guth, with whom she shared 39 lov- ing years of marriage prior to his passing in 2002. Born in Bushkill Township, she was a daughter of the late Silas and Helen (Rissmiller) Kromer. She attended Pen Argyl High School. Farming was an inte- gral part of life as she began working at an early age on the family farm in Bushkill Township, and continued after marrying Gerald. She loved tending her flower and vegetable gardens, canning, and enjoyed taking pictures and scrapbooking.

Family was most important to Cordelia, and she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors: She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lois Confer and hus- band, Gregory, with whom she resided, and Cynthia Pepas of Stockertown; four grandchildren, Nicholas Confer and wife, Allison, Heather Pepas, Cadie Bandura and husband, Todd, and Andrew Pepas; two great- grandchildren, Zendaya and Cooper; three sisters, Betty Rundle and husband, Frederick, of Noel, Missouri, Jane Litsinger of Mainesburg, PA, and Joan and husband, John, of Wind Gap; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Gerald, she was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Catino and Joyce Geiger, and her loyal pet cat, Mickey. Born in Essen, Germany on August 15, 1951, he was the son of Walter and the late Irma Warda. In January, 1954, his parents emigrated with him to Allentown, PA. They became U.S. citizens in 1959. Peter graduated from William Allen High School in 1969.

He worked as a welding inspector on the Alaska pipe- line. In 1982, he moved to Decatur, Illinois and then to Alvin, Texas, where he lived for 35 years. He worked as a Chief Inspector for the oil industry. He loved traveling by car and riding on his Harley Davidson, and took several road trips throughout the US. He also enjoyed fishing and passed that love on to his son.

Peter was a deeply devoted father and son. He also had a great love for animals, especially his numerous dogs, and rescued many strays and showered them with love. Peter had a very generous heart. He lavished his family and friends with gifts, but also helped those in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Snyder, 91, formerly of Emmaus, PA, peace- fully died in hospice care on August 17, 2020 in Gainesville, FL. She was the daughter of Ruby and Mark Wetherhold. Janet graduated from Emmaus High School, where she met and later married the love of her life her late husband, Richard B.

Snyder. Janet was known for her kind spirit and loved cooking for her family and friends. She was a member of the Emmaus Lioness Club and was instrumental in baking and selling apple dumplings for the Club. She also en- joyed the craft classes she attended at the local senior center in Gainesville with her daughter, Susan. Janet had 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Janet was predeceased by 2 brothers, James and Henry Wetherhold. A memorial service will be held in the future.
